The Nikon AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.8G is a full-frame normal fast prime lens with ultrasonic autofocus motor (SWM) for modern Nikon digital cameras.
Designed according to a new optical design of 7 elements in 6 groups with one aspherical element. All previous modifications of the 50 / 1.8 lens were produced according to the optical scheme 6/5. The lens has two switchable focus modes: manual (M) and M/A with fast AF-MF switching.
The lens that replaced the popular "fifty kopeck" 50mm f/1.8D. It differs from its predecessor by the presence of an ultrasonic autofocus motor, which provides faster and more accurate focusing than its predecessor.
