Composition:
metol, sodium sulfite anhydrous, hydroquinone, sodium tetraborate
Method of preparation of the working solution
The working solution is prepared by introducing reagents into water with moderately active stirring (use only glass sticks or other inert materials to stir reagents in water!). It is recommended to use only distilled water to prepare the developer's working solution.
The procedure for preparing the working solution is as follows:
1) Heat distilled water with a volume of 750 ml to 48-50 degrees Celsius;
2) Introduce the contents of package No. 1 into the water, mix until completely dissolved;
3) Introduce the contents of package No. 2 into the water, mix until completely dissolved;
Reagents from the packages are introduced sequentially, one after the other, as soon as the previous one dissolves. If lumps form in the solution during mixing of reagents, they should be crushed with a stick or a mixing spatula. After dissolving all the reagents, the solution must be topped up with distilled water to 1 liter and cooled to room temperature (20-22 degrees Celsius). If necessary, filter it.
Usage Limit
The working solution of the Silberra S-76 developer for photographic films can be used for developing up to 10 films of the 135/36 format, provided that the recommended development time is increased by 10% for each film developed in solution.
Side Effects
A slight turbidity of the solution is possible, which does not affect its chemical properties.
Storage Rules
In a dry, dark, cool place; keep away from children. Solutions should be stored in tightly sealed high-quality dishes, without air access and with a minimum amount of residual air above the solution.
Shelf Life
In powder form in original sealed bags: 60 months. In the form of a working solution of Silberra S-76 developer in a closed bottle for 6 months from the date of preparation. Partially used solution can be stored in a closed container for up to 45 days (attention: a solution that has spent more than half of the materials from the limit of use is not subject to storage).
